LTHS is a single unit high school district composed of two campuses about one mile apart; freshmen and sophomores attend South Campus in Western Springs, and juniors and seniors attend North Campus in LaGrange.

The school day is composed of seven 51-minute periods.

Students are assigned to course levels (I-V) on the basis of test scores, achievement and teachers’ recommendations.

LTHS computes, records, and provides both weighted and unweighted grade point averages and class rank for all its students each semester.

Typically, 90 percent of the students choose to attend post-secondary schools.
